Getting Married During COVID Without Worries

Even in a pandemic, you can tie the knot worry-free by taking the right precautions. Car rental company Ghisu, for example, provides everything you need to comply with current regulations: their fleet—including vintage cars, limousines, and luxury sedans—is thoroughly sanitized and treated with all necessary measures.

How to Plan a Wedding

It may seem odd to see guests wearing masks, but by now we’re used to this accessory. Living with the coronavirus is the new normal, and it shouldn’t stop you from fully enjoying your wedding day. The atmosphere remains one of pure joy because what truly matters is celebrating a day where love prevails. Optimism is always in the air at weddings, and it hasn’t changed post-COVID. Of course, a few small precautions are in order: for example, during cocktail hour, multiple serving stations limit mingling as much as possible. Having ample outdoor space is a major advantage, as it makes social distancing and other essential safety measures much easier to enforce.

Don’t Call Off the Wedding
It would be a shame to cancel your wedding out of fear alone. Religious and civil ceremonies have been reinstated, as have wedding receptions. Guests may enter the church or town hall only after a temperature check.

Masks remain mandatory, and a social distance of one and a half meters must be maintained to prevent gatherings. The Italian Episcopal Conference has allowed couples taking part in religious services to go mask-free during the ceremony. The Technical-Scientific Committee issued a similar recommendation for other religious rites and for civil ceremonies.

Reorganizing the Space

One of the most important steps is reorganizing the venue to ensure orderly access, with separate entry and exit paths, while still maintaining at least a one-meter distance between people. All reception halls must be cleaned and disinfected before and after use, and equipment must be treated the same way.

Guest Guidelines

Guests are required to wear masks indoors and outdoors whenever they can’t keep a one-meter distance. Staff members must also wear masks and sanitize their hands frequently. Buffets are not self-serve; servers will plate food at the table so guests don’t touch the dishes. Only individually packaged items may be offered buffet-style. Finally, dancing is suspended, even outdoors. Whatever entertainment you have in mind, be sure to check directly with your venue to find out what safety measures are in place. Once that’s settled, you can look forward to planning your honeymoon—though traveling abroad can still be quite complicated right now.
