It’s called a Lincoln, so naturally we think “limousine,” right? It’s common to link the Lincoln brand with limos, but that’s actually a misconception. As we explain on our limousine homepage, no vehicle rolls off the assembly line long enough to be a limo; instead, it undergoes a conversion process. Simply put, the car is cut in half, a section of variable length is inserted according to the client’s wishes, and voilà—a limousine is born.
Any car can be stretched, but Lincoln sedans are generally the best candidates. Specifically, the model we use for converting our two Royales (see the White Lincoln Royale) is the Town Car.
