The Bulli minibus, a legend on wheels
Choose the iconic Volkswagen minibus for your events. A blend of history and romance to create unforgettable memories of your most special days. Today, the Volkswagen minibus is a fixture at festivals and on the summer surf scene; but it started life as a direct descendant of another German classic, the Beetle. It was born from a simple suggestion and some sketches drawn in 1947 by Dutch Volkswagen importer Ben Pon, who envisioned a transport vehicle built on the Beetle’s chassis.
Its popularity reached new heights when Volkswagen began manufacturing it in multiple countries, including Australia, Argentina, and Brazil. Production in Latin America continued more than forty years after Type 2 production ceased in Germany in 1967.
