Rover 1930s

Home / For Sale / Rover 1930s
Rover is an iconic British automotive brand, founded way back in 1877 by J.K. Starley and W. Sutton in Coventry. Originally, the company made only bicycles, but by the late 1800s it had begun experimenting with motorized tricycle prototypes. From there, Rover evolved into motorcycle production and eventually into full-scale automobiles. Today, however, Rover’s story has come to an end—after Ford acquired the brand in 2006, it effectively ceased operations.

This Rover is the oldest car in our rental fleet—we don’t know the exact year, but it dates back to the 1930s. It’s the very first production model Rover, and the last one available for rent in Italy! As you can see in the photos, it’s a classic example of early automotive design, complete with wire-spoke wheels and all the authentic period details. Please note that, by our choice and not for technical reasons, this car may only be driven within the ring road.

And yet it moves!
