Triumph

Home / For Sale / Triumph
The company’s origins date back to 1833, when a man named Bettman moved from Nuremberg to Coventry, England. Bettman sold bicycles under the Triumph name.

Later, engineer Maritz Schultze, also from Nuremberg, joined the firm. With the advent of the first engines, the company expanded from producing bicycles to manufacturing motorcycles. In 1920, Triumph acquired an automobile factory—also in Coventry—and entered the car market with vehicles sold under the Triumph Motor Company name. Today, Triumph produces only motorcycles, both those inspired by its 1940s models and cutting-edge modern bikes.

This car has been part of our vintage rental fleet for over 30 years, and on more than one occasion both father and son have used it for their weddings. A standout feature of this magnificent automobile is its two large front headlamps, which resemble big “eyes,” giving the vehicle an almost affectionate look and making it exceptionally photogenic.

Be sure to also check out our 1930s Rover if you’ve fallen for this car’s one-of-a-kind charm!
